I've been writing more FB notes but I need to keep this up as well. In recent news someone on my Facebook either bitched or joked to my family that I have gay characters. Whoever it was, they didn't need to go tell my family. Its funny......most of my mom's side of the family are liberal but if homosexuality is brought up they get this weird look on their face and on my dad's side of the family they're conservative and they share the same ideas about gays that I do....wtf?

Must be the South :/...I hate this place.

 Deviantart,Facebook, Myspace, Gaia etc. are being plagued by people stating that they are against the hate crime bill because it infringes on their rights. Sadly, yes it has come to this. I see quite a few people complaining about how Christians are being harassed by homosexuals...where? Oh I can believe it in some cases. A lot of homosexuals despise Christianity because the majority of Christians twist Jesus's words and yell out that Jesus hates fags. Yeah, I would hate them too especially when everywhere I go I would get judged or condemned. But the fact of the matter is...its is the homosexuals who are being oppressed because some people are twisting a highly respected figure's words. In fact I cringe when the people yelling that gays are going to hell or in some extreme cases even attacking or killing them are now playing the victim. Don't...make...me....laugh.

Because of crimes committed against gays we have to have a hate crime bill passed to protect them. When I see someone who doesn't understand their actions and the consequences it may carry I start to think, " Maybe that person's mommy didn't teach them what is right and what is wrong." To the people bitching and whining over the hate crime bill...wake up and listen to this:

-Stop using your religion to back up your "hate". Jesus said nothing about homosexuals ( which wasn't even a word then). I haven't come across a single Christian who has given me a verse -spoken by Jesus(not his apostles, not some Jewish prophets etc but Jesus..you know the guy you say is the Son of God)- that says gays go to hell. Using your religion is what I like to call "being a coward." Most of the Christians I know do not yell out " Jesus says you're going to hell" to homosexuals, I even know a few who are "faghags". Its the radicals that preach hate and it is the radicals that are making Christianity look bad.

-And because of this it is not an attack on your religion but an attack on your ignorance(yes, I said it..your ignorance). I can forgive a child or a preteen but a teenager or a full grown person should know better than to yell out slurs against one group of people.

- Disapproval is one thing but actually taking a day off of work and make a sign that says " You're going to hell for what you do in your own bedroom" and taking it to Outfest or a gay pride festival is the saddest damn thing I've ever heard of. People who go on and on and on about the gay lifestyle in a negative way are possibly uncomfortable with their own sexuality. I don't approve of beastiality ( and yes I do have my reasons since it is abuse and comparing it to homosexuality in any way shape or form disgusts me -so don't even try-) but I don't go around everyday bitching and complaining about it.

Gays in the Military



I know the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy is meant to protect gays who do go into the military but it is very sad that we have to because some ignorant folks. There was an incident where a group of soldiers bashed their fellow soldier in the head because they found out he was gay. Tell me...what is wrong with that picture?

And for those who say gays shouldn't be in the military here is a history lesson for you:


This guy is considered a military genius. He defeated one of the greatest Empires and brought Western civilization to much of the known world. You should thank him actually because he is the reason why Western civilization flourished and not the Persian civilization. He pretty much set the foundation for Western culture. He was also bisexual and had a male lover named Hephaestion( their relationship was compared to Achilles and Patrocles in the Illiad) and even had a male Persian courtesan as a lover.

I'm talking about Alexander the Great. Think about that.




And for crying out loud...how many more times do we have to change Greek mythology for people who will get butthurt over two men being in love. Watch the movie Troy...it made Classical literature purists cringe for a reason. Patrocles was not Achilles's cousin but his lover that is why Achilles killed Hector and started dragging his body around behind his chariot 8D! Who would've thunk it?

 The right is doing it again. From Obama being a fascist to a Communist they just can't make up their minds can they? Funny thing is: Communists and Fascists don't get along. Fascism is between capitalism and socialism and communists are well...communist lol. So this goes to show that most Americans don't know what the fuck they're talking about when they're calling Obama both a fascist and a communist...its very laughable.

Which brings me to something else.


I don't think 99% of Americans even understand what communism really is. There has never been a communist country. Its actually a historical fallacy to say that Russia, China, North Korea etc are communist (in Russia's case-was). If you read the Communist Manifesto you will see WHY these countries aren't considered communist. I may need to read up more on this but most communists I know think Stalin and Fidel Castro are a bunch of dipshits. Stalin didn't know what he was doing and neither do the other leaders who claim they are Communist.

For Communism to work people have to stop being greedy and I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon...sadly because it actually is a pretty good ideology despite what Cold War pricks want to tell you.

Again, if you don't believe me then do your homework. I'm not doing it for you.

    Talon's bandages had been changed and his body was clean of any blood or debris that had accumulated during his attack. Ash only allowed Talon to feel some pain so he could prevent further injury to him. Ash used a spell to put Talon to sleep and to relieve his pain. Ash hummed an old Romanian lullaby as he drifted off to sleep. Ash sang it to Talon every once in a while, it was a lullaby he learned from the servants in the old days.
    Now the only sound in the room was Talon's shallow breathing. It was a sound that put Gabriel on edge. He sat next to Talon with his face in his hands trying to let the tears roll down his cheeks.Gabriel could not look at his son, it was so hard to look upon what had happened to him but he had to be near him. This was too similar to what happened sixteen years ago. Julia's death kept playing over and over in his head. This situation was similar only the person laying in the bed wasn't dead.
    The emotion hit him like a wave. He was overwhelmed by the sensation. He had felt happiness, anger, jealousy and greed but not sadness, not in sixteen years. The tears streamed down his face against his will. The thought of his son dying played in his head and his anguish became stronger. His parents' deaths he accepted a long time ago. Julia's death he had to accept and move on for his son's sake. Talon's death was unthinkable, anyone but Talon. His son was his only anchor to sanity, if he lost Talon he would lose his mind.
    Gabriel gathered enough courage to turn around and look at his son. He watched as Ash brushed a loose strand of Talon's hair to the side. He noticed that Ash was fighting every urge to not kiss Talon's forehead as a lover would. Gabriel suspected that Ash was in love with Talon and why not? Ash was Talon's healer and they shared a close relationship. Gabriel was too stressed to be seething at this apparent relationship, it was petty. He was thankful that Ash was helping Talon and cared for him but another side of him was protective and not sure of what their love could do to each other. Ash was a vampire and Talon a dhampir all kinds of situations could occur from such a romantic combination.
    He reached over and held Talon's hand, rubbing his palm and fingers like he did when Talon was little. Talon was three when his attacks hit him and the only thing Gabriel could do was tell him it would be okay and reassure him by kissing his little hand. He would let him know that as long as his daddy was there he was okay and nothing would happen to him. He had promised to be there all of Talon's life and now he felt like a failure. The tears were neverending and the deep sadness he felt would never go away as long as Talon layed in this bed.

 Yeah sorry for not posting lately. A lot going on school, RP and artwork wise. So I'm taking Nursing Ethics and Dosage Calculations and I'm starting to feel a bit discouraged again. I'm not doing bad I just feel I could do better. I've been reworking and setting up more plots for Luna Di Sangue and I'm hoping to do research on places like Italy, France, Romania etc for my stories. Talon is starting to become the main character folks. I'm thinking of a ton of plots for him and he may be the one character that makes an appearance in all the stories. He's also a hell of a lot easier to write. Talon and Ash are such a strong couple too and I love writing about them.

Dragondoodle has requested that I write Gabriel's breakdown after Talon gets hurt. So expect that sometime soon when I can get the chance to write it down.

Rants:

- One of my friends grandmother got pissed when I said goddamn in response to my friend's status. For one I am not pleased but I'm not starting a fight with a 73 year old woman on Facebook. Its pretty sad when the 23 year old knows not to fan the flames on the internet. And two...I'm not Christian, I respect her belief but I do not belive in her god therefore to attack me and tell me I should apologize to a god I don't believe is a bit insane. I don't necessarily chew off someone's head because they said something about my belief (depends on how it is said)..I let it go though I will on occasion stand up for myself when it comes to what I believe. Religious arguments are a no win situation because everyone believes their way is right.

- Healthcare reform. I cannot stress how much people are so misinformed. My nursing ethics teacher pulled up the statistics concerning this and she clearly stated that as long as  you have insurance you're in good hands but those who don't, and its a lot of people, it is very much the opposite. This makes us behind on 3rd world countries. Don't believe me go to the WHO website...we're #37 which isn't the worst but its not good. If you look closely at the statistics an interesting phenomenon happens: countries with universal healthcare are ranked higher than we are. I don't want to offend anyone but the opposing side is batshit insane. Hurtling insults and screaming " OBAMA IS HITLER" ( goes to show how fucking stupid some people act, which makes me trust the gov't more than the people) is not going to solve anything. It makes you look like an idiot not only to the country but to the rest of the world. Other countries laugh about how great we think are but they think we're the most ignorant nation in the world...and you know what we are. We spend more time on OUR  history than the histories of other nations, we refuse to learn other languages because we honestly believe that America was an English-only speaking nation when it was first founded *eyeroll*. We also have crazy people who refuse to believe what science tells us because scientists are evil and they're all atheists. We're behind on science because of that....thanks guys.

So my stepdad and I got into a major argument about healthcare reform. He is on the protestor's side but at the same time during our argument complained about insurance companies. He thinks Obama is pushing universal healthcare but from what I've seen with the reform it looks nothing like universal healthcare but more of a reform for insurance companies, which I am against too. But I am highly against the protestors. Keep insurance companies? Uh, hell no. The prices are rising and rising and pretty soon employers won't be able to afford health insurance for their employees, which, by the way is already happening in some places. I know LPNs who can't get health insurance and they're healthcare providers. Who is next? RNs? Yeah and because it can affect me as a working class citizen I'm all for universal healthcare because healthcare is not a priviledge it should be for everyone regardless of their social status.
 Healthcare is not a luxury it is a necessity and I'm amazed I have to argue this. Let these people not have health insurance and see how high their bill is and see how it feels when they have to sell their car to pay their hospital bills....then they will be for universal healthcare. I've done a ton of research and the U.S. is notorious for shoving lies down the publics' throats about  other countries. And its not just internet research and book research but I talk to people from different countries : the UK, Canada, France, Belgium, Denmark etc and they are very happy with their healthcare system contrary to the U.S politicians' beliefs.


More issues that I am seeing:


Complaining about taxes again:

- you pay for peoples' education and yet I don't see protests for that
-you pay for roads so you can travel
-you pay the police officers if I'm not mistakened to keep you safe
-you pay the firemen if I'm not mistakened to keep you safe
-you pay for public parks so your kids won't play in the streets
-you pay for prisons who treat serial killers like celebrities but people with drug addictions who need help not imprisonment like crap


None of these are problems(well the thing about prison inmates is a problem). But healthcare is. I have yet to figure this one out.

And also the evils of socialism ZOMG! Its not so much the government system but the people who run the government period. Capitalism,democracy etc. if put in the wrong hands can be disaster. I know people in Socialist countries and they don't complain. In fact I had a woman from Belgium in my nursing literature class who set us straight on modern socialism and made us Americans look pretty ignorant about the world outside our country. The government in the wrong hangs is a disaster...period. Anyone who knows their history should know that.


America is not the greatest country. In fact we are behind. I've met foreign exchange students from socialist countries who were far more educated than anyone here in America. And the biggest problem I think is politics, ideologies clashing, religious arguments and little to no discipline when it comes to education here.


In all honesty, research is key here. If you don't believe me on this fine. Do your research if you don't because honestly I'm not doing your homework for you. But if healthcare becomes hard for me to get in this country I'm going to Canada. Call me unpatriotic but I don't love a country who denies my healthcare rights while I'm a working class citizen.

I've looked at both sides of the argument and I've even talked to people from Canada and the UK and the people I have talked to have not complained about their healthcare system, not once. They say its wonderful that when they're concerned about their health they don't have to worry about money, period. If universal healthcare is so horrible I'm sure one or more people would have told me that it is horrible. In my English literature class last semester we had a woman from Belgium in our class and she looked at us like we were crazy when we were talking about the evils of universal healthcare. She was wondering what the big deal was.

MONEY

Yes you will have to pay taxes but what about the people out there whose employers aren't paying for their insurance( and if I'm not mistakened quite a few employers can barely afford insurance for their employees). It costs a ton of money to pay for insurance for yourself, those who are cheap are most likely a scam ( hey, its happened). And yeah I'm sure you're thinking "get a job". Well there are people who have jobs and still can't get insurance. So really, there are a ton of Americans out there who are spending a ton of money on healthcare anyway. And you're complaining about taxes? You know the stuff that gives us our roads and maintains them, gives us nice public parks, public schools etc etc.

ZOMG I WILL HAVE TO WAIT

You have to wait to get treatment here too. Its called triage folks. Your broken wrist isn't more important than the guy having a heart attack. In fact quite a few Canadians have told me that they have simply walked in and walked out in and they didn't have to wait :3 Hell I remember being in a doctor's office for a looooong time before I was seen. Hospitals and doctor's offices get busy...no matter where you are.

In all honesty what I am seeing is conservative bias. I know you're thinking " you're a liberal therefore you're being biased". No, I'm not. I've done my research. I don't always say this is right or that is wrong because a liberal politician says so. I think for myself. All it takes is getting to know people outside of this country, your brain and proper research.

 Despite that stupid delay before I left to go to Myrtle Beach my vacation was wonderful. After scheduling my flight for the next day it went smoothly. The plane ride was wonderful and seeing my dad's side of the family was great too. It took about 5 hours to get from Mooresville, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC. That went well too ;P I had to listen to one of my cousins and my dad argue about whether or not the bright star in the sky was the space station or not. This went on til 4 in the morning after I proved it was Saturn -_-. I went to a bar with my cousins, partied and went back to the beach house. I didn't get stung by a jellyfish this time. We ate crab, shrimp and just about everything else on the seafood menu. I really spent the whole time just relaxing. The flight back home went well too. No delays thank god ;)

 This is long overdue. It came to my attention again through something private and I think it just deserves an explanation so there is no further confusion. For one...Sinful Desires centers around the Drago family(including those who married into it). Few people outside of the Drago family exist like: Samuel, Myriam and Ira...that's about all I can think of. This family consists mainly of royal vampires who, by the way, don't mingle with much of anyone outside their own family or anyone below their caste for that matter ( that part is in Luna Di Sangue). They don't know many people outside their family. In reality this isn't much different from what you learned in history class especially when it came to Egypt,Greece and Rome. Royals married royals....period. Vampires hold that same standard. I'm not wasting precious creative energy to come up with five billion new characters just to avoid incest(because someone will get butthurt over a RP), it wouldn't be true to the RP.
 Arrian is Azriel and Kai's child and if you're wondering what's so controversial about that: Azriel is Kai's nephew. Yes Arrian is a child born out of incest. Vincent performed that magic so he can make Arrian his slave, whereas Michael and Azriel failed on that part. I did my research and retarded incest babies are rare. Incest just increases those chances it doesn't guarantee it. So Arrian is normal and ZOMG he is an incest child *eyeroll*. Two, these are vampires. They don't hold the same standards we do. That's what makes them fascinating. Our taboos should be their fun and pleasure. The vampires in my stories are a bisexual species ( according to research humans are a bisexual species too) with gay and straight being very rare among their kind. Gabriel, Sian and Samuel are strange according to other vampires. So in Sinful Desires the vampires don't think much of incest. Oh trust me the incest couples have gotten criticism from the non-vampires( unless its Callisto because lets face it: Callisto is Caligula and he just can't say much on the matter). They find it disgusting and unnatural, just like most of us do. So its not all lillies,roses and bunny rabbits in Sinful Desires. Hell none of the couples in Sinful Desires are like that even Callisto and Talon. This isn't some romantic, homosexual manga you picked up at the bookstore. This is a bit more realistic. They suffer the same issues that gays and bis suffer in the real world. In fact that is something missing from yaoi mangas.
 And three, this is just a roleplay...for crying out loud. Its not my stories, it will never be published. Its all in good fun. I get my art inspiration from Sinful Desires, I've always done art from the roleplays I do. I avoid doing it from my stories as much as possible because people steal ideas. People are uncomfortable with the incest, rape and other stuff that goes on in Sinful Desires. I'm fine with that. But crossing the line and being rude is unacceptable. Getting that butthurt over a roleplay because it doesn't have something you agree with is very sad and kind of shows that umm....someone needs a life to be honest. It isn't real life. It doesn't meant I approve of things like incest,rape, abortion, BDSM, male pregnancy etc. I cringed and nearly cried all the way through Vincent raping Talon. I almost didn't RP it but a lot of emotion and the impact from it would have been lost. Callisto and Talon would've never happened because Talon wouldn't have felt the emotion of being helpless when Michael didn't come to the rescue. That was the whole turning point of Talon and Michael being a couple and Callisto used that to make Talon his. So there are some things I have to do in the RP that I don't agree with for the sake of a good story....and also......because its fiction :/

All last week I was pretty much getting ready for finals. Thursday rolled around and it was like all hell broke loose. I forgot an assignment that was part of my final grade (  I thought I had it with me) so after the test I had to rush back on the other side of town to get it on a near empty tank of gas. On the way I was trying my best to find a gas station that wasn't taken over( I'm not exaggerating either this city is ridiculously overcrowded). I didn't have time to look around so I hurried home, got my assignment, tried again with no luck and ended up running out of gas right before the exit I was going to get off of =_= Luckily my boyfriend was home and came by to get my tank filled. It was major hell because it was 98 outside. And I didn't get my assignment in til almost 1:30. I took my First Aid test and got home. Got a call from my mom saying Michael Jackson was in the hospital and that Farrah Fawcett had died ( sorry guys I never knew about her that much so it didn't move me). Something in the back of my mind said its MJ he'll be okay. We like to think celebrities are immortal. I get a call 15 minutes later saying that he died. I was never a huge ZOMG its MICHAEL JACKSON fan! But I did love his music and I did grow up watching his music videos and singing and dancing to his music. I will admit I did crack a joke or two about him but I never bought the pedophilia thing so I was on his side more than other people who follow and believe everything the media says.So yeah it was like a huge punch in the face and I'm still in shock. I'm starting to see more and more of why I don't like going on the Gaia forums anymore. Its filled with teens who pretty much don't know what they're talking about. A girl posted that Gay Pride Parades should be banned....sorry but that's homophobia and someone tried to tell me otherwise. At least half of the people who hate gay pride parades are homophobes, some are gays who hate it and others just don't approve. The tone of the girl's post screams homophobia. I've been around people like that way too much.

If you don't like it then don't go to it. I know that its BS that someone would have to leave the city to escape it. I know damn well a gay pride parade doesn't cover the whole city. It seems that people who want to see it stand there and watch it, those who don't go their own way. Its not hard to escape a parade and not have to leave the city....people do it during Mardi Gras all the time and that's a much larger parade.

But to put it simply just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be banned.There's a lot of songs I don't like but I don't call up the radio station and tell them to ban it, I simply change the station. I don't like Twilight but you don't see me screaming it should be banned. I mean these are the same people who bitch about Socialism and Communism but they think things should be banned. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Communist nations ban things? XD. And just because they are following their stereotype shouldn't mean it should be banned either. Its a weak argument. Black people with sagging pants and 5 million gold chains who munch on watermelons and eat fried chicken are stereotypes and yes....it does get on my nerves sometimes....but you don't hear me saying they should be shipped back to Africa. No, I didn't think so.


The thing about homophobes,racists etc is that they don't realize how WRONG they are.Disapproval is one thing but killing a guy because he's gay and sending someone like Christopher Rice death threats because he wrote a book about a gay marine is psychotic. But that's okay because the homophobes are straight and Christopher Rice is gay......I'm losing faith in humanity.


The argument against gay marriage is getting old too. The world won't end because Bob and Joe or Sue and Mary are getting married. Civilization won't end and California won't fall in the ocean and aliens won't come to Earth on 2012 to kill humans because gays married. Homophobes are the same as racists..they hate and hate itself should be intolerable. So I will "proudly" keep supporting my gay friends. And my love for gays didn't start with yaoi by the way.

So I was thinking of the changes I've recently made to Luna Di Sangue. Tell me what you think :)


- I completely wrote out the character Varun. He's pretty useless. So Julia and Gabriel will meet Ash at Midnight Blood.

- Gabriel and Julia are a much more argumentative couple. That much is apparent in Chapter 1....already XD

-Julia dying will stay the same. But I will put Talon near death when he was born and is saved by Ash ;)

-There is going to be more adventure than sex. I enjoy writing the sex scenes but I think I write them a bit too graphic so it will be heavily toned down.

-Nikolai will never get in Talon's pants. Sorry Nikolai.

Nikolai: :( dammit!

- Ash and Talon will meet when he is 15, but a romance won't blossom until Talon is 17.

-In fact Ash won't realize he's in love with Talon until he almost loses him *hint hint*

-Nikolai in a fit of jealousy is the one that will expose Talon as a dhampir. ( Still don't if I will do this one because I don't know how Talon will escape Sian.)

-I cut out Talon meeting a girl and being with her for a while. Its Talon and Ash all the way.

-Yeah Talon still gets raped....poor baby. Its like he can't be Talon without being raped. Oh god....that is so horrible -goes to hell-

- Instead of revolving completely around Ash and Talon's romance I think it should be about going on a quest to find a permanent cure for Talon's symptoms.

-Vampires can only get humans pregnant if they bonded with them through blood. Not sure if I mentioned that or not.
